Title: Vince Turns... 28, yeah, 28

Author: Concupid

Pairing: Howard/Vince

Rating: NC-17

Warning: explicit man love, language, drug use

Summary: Vince is turning 28 for the third time and feeling down. What could possibly lift his spirits on such a dreadful day?

Author's note: I wrote this for [info]karneol_vision because she is made of awesomeness and has created such beautiful, beautiful artwork for my stories. She didn't ask for this story, but she's getting it anyway!  It was supposed to be a little one off that became absurdly long and had to be broken up.  That's how I roll.

Disclaimer: I don't own the Boosh or their characters and I have no desire to make money off them.

Title: You Should Never Sleep (RPS)
Author: elevenfeathers
Pairing: Noel/Julian
Summary: Noel is having nightmares due to exhaustion and Julian's there to help.
Word Count: ~3500
Rating: PG, swearing.
Warnings: there are some disturbing themes, a bit of blood, a bit of bad language.
Disclaimer: I do not own Noel or Julian or any of the Mighty Boosh boys, the story isn't real and I don't mean to be creepy, it just happens.
Author’s Notes: A big thank you for beta'ing this and being oh so helpful to Mairead ([info]thejigsawtimess).
This is my first time posting on livejournal so please be gentle! I can take concrit though.

Title: Enigma Variations, 15/?:
Summary: Naboo has a few things to say on his own account
Rating: R for language, adult topics, mild threat
Warnings: none
Spoilers: The bedroom light starts working again
Length: about 1500 words
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters, I just borrow them to play with now and again (and again and again and again). For twisted love, not for profit
Notes: Pretty much smut-less. Also un-beta’d, and this conversation didn’t go entirely to plan. Hence I have struggled muchly with the dynamics, so please, please point out the parts that don’t make sense and I will try to fix them sometime when I can bear to look at this again!

Title: Enigma Variations, 14/?:
Summary: It’s all gone wrong, and Vince is in pieces
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: yet more alien biology TMI but I guess if you’re still reading you’re OK with it
Spoilers: There is a reason why I have used my pervy seagull icon for this chapter…
Length: so help me, about 3000 words
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters, I just borrow them to play with now and again (and again and again and again). For twisted love, not for profit
Notes: I am so sorry to have left you and Naboo teetering on the brink and unsatisfied for so long. Real life has a way of interfering with my fic right when I get to the bits I most want to write... As ever, concrit and pointing-out of mistakes is very much welcomed.
And I hope the next chapter won't take quite so long!

Title: Enigma Variations, 13/?:
Summary: Vince puts his idea into practice but it doesn’t quite go according to plan
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: references to past rough sex, alien anatomy TMI
Spoilers: see tags
Length: about 1800 words
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters, I just borrow them to play with now and again (and again and again and again). For twisted love, not for profit
Notes: Thank you to everyone who’s stuck with me so far. This is a scenario I have wanted to write since I first dipped a tentative toe into this fandom – it’s taken me a dozen chapters to lead up to it and it’s likely to take me a dozen more to deal with the fallout…

Title: Enigma Variations, 12/?:
Summary: Naboo has an important decision to make; Vince and Howard make it for him
Rating: R for language and subject under discussion
Warnings: references to past bondage and s/m, and a very small (reported) glimpse of tentacle, plus this is once again almost, but not quite, entirely devoid of both funnies and punctuation
Spoilers: well, it was kind-of inevitable, wasn't it?
Length: about 1000 words
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters, I just borrow them to play with now and again (and again and again and again). For twisted love, not for profit
Notes: unbeta’d, and distinctly strange, please forgive me for errors (and please point them out)!

Title:  A Beautiful Disaster
Author:  Concupiscence66
Rating:  NC-17 (To be safe)
Warnings:  language, drug use, sex (het and slash), heavy drinking, violence, general bad behavior
Pairings:  Dan and a lot of different people
Summary:

Dan "The Preacher  Man" Ashcroft has accepted that "well futile" isn't just a moronic saying - it's a way of life- but every time Dan tries to give in to despair, hope rears its ugly head and lures him back to reality.

Discovering he has a fully grown daughter from a (very) youthful affair with a brilliant writer leads Dan to reflect on his life (and drink a lot of whiskey). It also sets in motion a series of events that could very well change his life for the better. Can Dan change? Can he accept love, success and good fortune? Dan is pretty sure the answer is a hard 'no' but hope springs eternal.

Like an incurable STD.

Author's note:  Thanks so much to [info]bluestocking79 and [info]cinnamon_girl95 for all the time you put in, your encouragement and most of all your brilliant little brains. You have no idea how much your feedback helped. This was supposed to be 10,000 words, it's closer to 35,000 and you guys stuck with me through the whole thing!  You are beautiful human beings and just so wonderful to work with.  I adore you both and I further extend my love to [info]booshslashhaven which is apparently the nicest community ever.

The art is by [info]karneol_vision and she is a monkey genius! To paraphrase Howard Moon, she can't be over-hyped.  She matched herself up to the most insane author participating in [info]smallfandombang and was getting bits of this story right up to a couple of days before posting and she has made art that is so beyond beautiful... I want to physically step into this world because it looks so much better and more inviting than the real one.  Not only is she an amazing artist, she's a brilliant person and was so helpful in helping me form the story.

You'll find the artwork here. http://karneol-vision.livejournal.com/223284.html#t2734388

Title: Enigma Variations, 11/?: Together We Can See What We Will Find
Summary: Naboo does some explaining
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: discussions about death, slight references to past violence with maybe a very small hint of s/m and dubcon if you choose to read it that way, also this is anatomically canon!Naboo and I am way too curious about how his third-gender biology might actually work in practice so this chapter comes with a TMI warning as well
Spoilers: Howard does eventually start being useful, and Naboo doesn't actually die in this chapter
Length: about 2350 words
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters, I just borrow them to play with now and again (and again and again and again). For twisted love, not for profit
Notes: I have struggled with this chapter, even more than with the previous one, so any and all concrit is very welcome. In particular I’m not confident with the emotional dynamics of my horribly dysfunctional Snaboo relationship, although I guess I have some wiggling room in the fact that they’re both aliens!

Title: 51 Questions Answered About Vince Noir (and Quite a Few About Howard Moon, Too)
Summary: In which the author tells you more than you ever wanted to know about the life, times, and history of Vince Noir. And a bit about Howard, too.
Pairing: Very heavily implied Howard/Vince
Rating: PG
Warnings: Briefly implied child neglect/abuse, some hints of angst amidst the fluff
Word Count: 5600
Disclaimer: Howard and Vince and the world of the Boosh still do not belong to me. We all know who they do belong to, and I wouldn't have it any other way. My thoughts and opinions here do not reflect those of the creators. (Not intentionally, anyway! Who can say how they'd answer these questions?)
Notes: This is the companion piece to 51 Questions Answered About Howard Moon (and Quite a Few About Vince Noir, too); together, they paint a pretty accurate portrait of Howard and Vince's life together. At least according to me. ;-)

Title: Enigma Variations, 10B/?: I’ll Roll Away Mine (the other part)
Summary: The boys haven’t interrupted quite what they thought they had
Rating: R for violence
Warnings: threats, an edged weapon, a bit of violence and a few drops of blood, hint of s/m if you squint a bit
Spoilers: Someone gets hurt
Length: about 1000 words
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters, I just borrow them to play with now and again (and again and again and again). For twisted love, not for profit
Notes: Still not quite sure about this bit, so feel free to offer concrit; I've been staring at this and rearranging the lines for so long that I can't see the wood for the trees any more. And I’m so sorry I’m being so horrible to everybody. Tis my way of dealing with real life being full of uncertainties at the moment. I am hoping things are going to get better soon, both in here and out there…

Title: 51 Questions Answered About Howard Moon (and Quite a Few About Vince Noir, Too)
Summary: In which the author tells you more than you ever wanted to know about the life, times, and history of Howard Moon. And a bit about Vince, too.
Pairing: Very heavily implied Howard/Vince
Rating: PG
Warnings: Shameless fluff and sentiment? No, seriously, nothing to be warned about here.
Word Count: 4000
Disclaimer: Howard and Vince and the world of the Boosh do not belong to me. We all know who they do belong to, and I wouldn't have it any other way. My thoughts and opinions here do not reflect those of the creators. (Not intentionally, anyway! Who can say how they'd answer these questions?)
Notes: This is not precisely fic as such, or at least not a single unified fic, since this began as a meme response for ridiculously detailed character backstories, which then turned into a writing exercise, which then turned into some strange hybrid. I guess I'd call it a big fat slice of ABSURDLY DETAILED Booshy meta, with Boosh Fic nuggets sprinkled very liberally throughout. And yes, there's a corresponding story for Vince; together, they paint a pretty accurate portrait of Howard and Vince's life together. At least according to me. ;-)

Title: Enigma Variations, 10A/?: I’ll Roll Away Mine (the first part)
Summary: The boys come home from the pub and interrupt something
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: overheard violence
Spoilers: Howard gets the wrong idea
Length: about 1000 words
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters, I just borrow them to play with now and again (and again and again and again). For twisted love, not for profit
Notes: I’ve split this chapter in half because I’m not happy with the other half yet – it’s got its emotional knickers in a knot and I need to disentangle it and get all the bits into the right order. But while I’m doing that, it seems a shame to deprive you of the on-the-way-home-from-the-pub snuggling that I wrote while avoiding starting on the really truly angst…

Title: Enigma Variations, 9/?: roll away your stone
Summary: Naboo wonders what’ll happen when it comes to the crunch
Rating: PG for language and general weirdness
Warnings: very slight references to implied past violence; also note almost complete lack of jokes, punctuation or capital letters
Spoilers: It’s gonna get worse before it gets better
Length: about 780 words
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters, I just borrow them to play with now and again (and again and again and again). For twisted love, not for profit
Notes: This is a short kind-of prelude to the second part of my epic. The title is nicked from Mumford and Sons (to whose music Howard and Vince would probably both be allergic). Future chapters may contain (in no particular order) angst, smut, hurt, comfort, silliness, magic and tears. And quite possibly roses. And Nutella. Oh, and smut. Bear with me while I work out how to fit it all in (sniggers). Meanwhile, over to Naboo…

Title: Enigma Variations, 8/?: Through a glass, darkly
Summary: A bit of smut. A bit of magic. And a bit of chatting. Not necessarily in that order
Rating: R
Warnings: none
Spoilers: See Summary
Length: about 2300 words
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters, I just borrow them to play with now and again (and again and again and again). For twisted love, not for profit
Notes: See Summary and Spoilers. Un-beta'd, so do point out errors wherever you find them. Also feel free to offer concrit, I am waaaay past the point where I'll be deflated or deterred by it! This kind-of ends the first part of this epic and although Howard and Vince are now on a pretty sound footing, I'm afraid things are going to get worse for poor old Naboo before they get better again...

Title: Garth Marenghi's Darkplace: The Novel by Garth Marenghi
Author: Concupid/Garth Marenghi's spirit
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: language, giant rats, fake science, hints of slash and metaphor-ridden het love, Garth Marenghi's writing style, cartoonish violence, shameless self-promotion, indefensible misogyny (defended by Dean Learner).
Summary: Darkplace is back and better (or worse) than ever!  In his latest novel (actually, two more novels are scheduled to come out before this summary is posted), Garth Marenghi returns to Darkplace with an exciting and original novel.  More than just a way to squeeze a few more dollars out of the franchise and promote sales of the E-Oeuvre, this novel is a spine-tingling morality tale about life in a literal rat race.  Giant, diabetic rats have taken over Darkplace.  Can Dr. Rick Dagless save humanity once again whilst continuing to grieve for the family he tragically lost?  Of course he can, but he'll need help from his friends:  Sanchez, Liz, Reed and the Padre (mainly to provide humor, joke set-ups, exposition and sexual tension).
If you read only one book this year, you'll have read three fewer books than Garth has written in the time span. How does that make you feel about yourself? Not good? You've no one but yourself to blame. It isn't as though Garth isn't producing enough for you to read, you are simply managing your time poorly. Think on that as you get lost in the world of Darkplace: The Novel.
Author's Note: Garth told me he had one final story to tell and I was the only one who could help him. I thought that meant he was dead but apparently he was just on vacation and looking for someone to do his work for him. What a jerk! Anyway, I wrote the story anyway for [info]smallfandombang. [info]broadlicnic created the beautiful graphics and [info]apesofwrath77 created what we will loosely refer to as original music and drawings. If you've never seen the show WATCH IT but all you need to know is in this video by [info]broadlicnic.
See the Magic!

Disclaimer: this was written by me and if Garth wants to sue, then I'll expect to see him (in the flesh!) in court.

Read the magic as well.

Title: Enigma Variations, 5A/?: The Colours of You (Items 1 and 2)
Summary: Pre-smut
Rating: R
Warnings: none
Spoilers: One of the boys still has his trousers on by the end
Length: about 2000 words
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters, I just borrow them to play with now and again (and again and again and again). For twisted love, not for profit
Notes: I wasn’t expecting them to take so long over this; but I didn’t want to rush them, in case Howard ran away, so I’m splitting this chapter into two parts, of which the second will be the smuttier. I promise. (And yes, in the long term it’s still about Naboo really, but how could I resist the lure of yet another first-time Howince along the way?)
